Privacy & verification FAQ
Straight answers about how we verify identities, protect your data, and keep both sides safe.
Both seekers and advisors verify a government-issued ID through Stripe, our identity verification provider. It takes about two minutes and only needs to be done once. VoxHer never sees or stores your ID — Stripe handles verification and tells us only whether you passed. Your real name is never displayed.
No. Advisors use persona first names only, and their legal name is never shown to seekers or displayed anywhere on VoxHer. Seekers can be fully anonymous, or share a first name and, if they want, a photo. VoxHer does not share your legal identity with anyone on the platform.
Advisors are never asked for, and VoxHer never displays, their legal name, address, workplace, school, or social media accounts. Every profile photo is reviewed by a person before it goes live. Advisors can block any seeker permanently and end any session instantly.
VoxHer doesn't hand out information that identifies you. That can't make you unfindable — anyone who recognizes your photo could search for you elsewhere, so choose a photo with that in mind.
Seekers control how much they reveal. You can browse and start sessions without a name or photo. Conversations stay inside the platform. VoxHer does not sell your data, and we share information only with the service providers needed to operate the platform.
VoxHer does not record, transcribe, or share conversations. There are two exceptions, both for safety: if someone uses End and Report, we review the last 10 messages of that session, and if a message triggers a safety warning that the sender chooses to bypass, that message is flagged for review. Nothing else is retained.
Two different rules. Trying to identify or locate an advisor — searching for her real identity, or contacting her outside VoxHer when she never shared it — is an immediate permanent removal. Asking for or sharing contact details to move off VoxHer is also a violation of our Community Standards, but we don't record or monitor sessions, so it's enforced when an advisor reports it: a first violation is a warning or suspension, and coercive, romantic, or repeated attempts are permanent removal.
Yes.
You can request account deletion at any time by emailing support@voxher.com. We verify the request and process it within 30 days. Your profile and personal data are removed, except minimal records we are required to retain by law or for fraud, safety, and financial reporting.
