How we collect, use, protect, and store your information

Effective Date: July 1, 2026 · Last Updated: July 28, 2026

Opt out of ad measurement sharing: visit voxher.com/privacy?optout=meta — your opt-out is recorded instantly for this browser and, if you are signed in, saved to your account. You can also email support@voxher.com to opt out across all devices. See Section 14 for details.

1. Introduction

VoxHer is a verified marketplace connecting identity-verified Advice Seekers with identity-verified women Advisors for real-time live chat and live video conversations. VoxHer is operated by VoxHer, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company. VoxHer is available to US residents only. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and your rights.

2. Geographic Restriction

VoxHer is available only to US residents. This is enforced through IP geolocation, US-only phone verification, a US residency declaration at signup, and US-only Stripe Connect payouts. Users with non-US IP addresses are redirected away from the platform before signup.

3. Identity Verification

VoxHer requires identity verification for participation in paid sessions. All verification is performed by Stripe Identity. VoxHer never sees or stores actual government ID documents.

3.1 Tiered Verification

VoxHer uses a two-tier verification system for Advice Seekers:

  • Tier 1 (Browse Verified): Required to create an account and browse the marketplace. Consists of email confirmation, US phone verification via SMS, and a Stripe Identity selfie check.
  • Tier 2 (Session Verified): Required to load wallet funds or start a live session. Consists of a full government-issued document check (driver’s license, passport, or government ID card) with a matching live selfie.
  • Advisors: Complete full government document plus selfie verification (equivalent to Tier 2) during Step 4 of the advisor application. Advisor profiles cannot go live until verification is complete and a subscription is active.

3.2 Failed Attempts and Lockout

If a user fails Tier 1 verification two times, their account is locked for 24 hours before they may attempt verification again. This protects against fraudulent verification attempts.

3.3 What VoxHer Stores

VoxHer stores: verification tier, verification status, verification timestamps, a Stripe Identity session reference for audit purposes, phone verification status, and a hashed phone number. VoxHer does not store actual ID documents, selfies, or biometric data. All such data is held by Stripe.

3.4 Identity Privacy Between Users

Advisor legal identity is never shared with Advice Seekers. Seeker legal identity is never shared with Advisors. Only persona names (advisors) and optional display names (seekers) are visible between users.

4. Information We Collect

4.1 All Users

  • Email address and hashed password
  • Account type (Seeker or Advisor) and 18-and-over confirmation
  • US residency declaration with timestamp
  • Community Standards acceptance timestamp
  • Phone number, stored as a hash for verification purposes only
  • Verification tier and verification status (not actual ID documents)
  • Account status: active, warned, suspended, or banned
  • Log data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps

4.2 Advice Seekers

  • Optional display name (first name only) and optional avatar
  • Anonymous mode flag (seekers default to anonymous)
  • Wallet balance and transaction history: top-up amounts, session charges, refunds
  • Session metadata: advisor ID, session type, duration, cost, timestamps
  • Safety-triggered content captures (see Section 5)

4.3 Advisors

  • Persona name (first name only, never legal name)
  • Profile photo (admin-reviewed before going live)
  • Age range, relationship status, lifestyle tags, bio, specialties, session types offered
  • Per-minute rates for live chat and video
  • Advisor visibility setting (public or private) and availability status (online, away, offline)
  • Per-advisor block list of seeker IDs
  • Earnings records, payout records, and subscription billing records
  • Payout bank details: handled entirely by Stripe Connect, never stored by VoxHer

4.4 Financial Transaction Data

  • Wallet top-up records: amount, Stripe Payment Intent ID, timestamp
  • Session billing records: session ID, minutes billed, total cost, advisor share, platform share
  • Advisor subscription records: plan, billing date, Stripe Subscription ID, status
  • Advisor payout records: amounts, dates, Stripe Payout IDs
  • No-refund flags applied to sessions ended for safety reasons

4.5 Safety and Moderation Data

  • Reports filed via End and Report
  • Safety captures: the last 10 messages from a chat at the moment End and Report is triggered, and the specific flagged message when a keyword warning is bypassed
  • Safety events: keyword warning bypasses, with a truncated excerpt of the flagged message
  • Admin alerts and enforcement actions: warnings, suspensions, bans, and the reasons recorded for each
  • Per-advisor block list entries

5. Session Content and Privacy

VoxHer does not record, transcribe, or store the content of normal sessions.

Live chat messages are transmitted in real time via encrypted broadcast channels. They are not written to our database. Live video calls run on VoxHer’s built-in video, powered by Daily.co, and are not recorded by VoxHer at any time. Video, audio, and screen content are never captured.

We store only what is necessary for billing and safety:

  • Session metadata for billing: session ID, participant IDs, session type, start and end timestamps, total minutes, total cost, advisor earnings, message count.
  • Safety-triggered captures only: the last 10 messages from a chat are captured if and only if a participant uses End and Report; the specific flagged message is captured if a user bypasses a keyword warning.

Outside of these safety triggers, the content of your conversations is private and not retained.

6. Wallet and Financial Privacy

  • Seeker wallet balances are private and never visible to advisors
  • Advisor earnings are private and never visible to seekers
  • Specific session costs are not shared between parties; the advisor’s listed per-minute rate is the only public price information
  • Payment card details are handled entirely by Stripe and never stored by VoxHer
  • Advisor bank account and payout details are handled entirely by Stripe Connect and never stored by VoxHer

7. How We Use Your Information

7.1 Platform Operation

  • Account creation, verification, and access control
  • Wallet management: processing top-ups, deducting per-minute session costs, processing refunds
  • Advisor subscription billing and profile activation or deactivation
  • Advisor payouts via Stripe Connect
  • Real-time billing during live sessions

7.2 Platform Safety

  • Reviewing safety-triggered captures and reports
  • Scanning messages for prohibited keywords before they are sent
  • Enforcing account penalties: warnings, suspensions, and bans
  • Cooperating with law enforcement where legally required

8. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with advertisers.

8.1 Between Users

  • Advisors see: a seeker’s display name or “Anonymous”, optional avatar, request content, and selected category. Advisors never see a seeker’s legal name, wallet balance, or total spend. Only seekers who have completed Tier 2 (Session Verified) can book a session.
  • Seekers see: an advisor’s persona name, verified badge, age range, relationship status, lifestyle tags, specialties, rates, and availability. Seekers never see an advisor’s legal name, earnings, or subscription status.

8.2 Service Providers

VoxHer uses the following third-party providers, each of which receives only the data necessary for its function:

  • Stripe: all payment processing including wallet top-ups, advisor subscriptions, and advisor payouts via Stripe Connect.
  • Stripe Identity: government ID verification and selfie verification. Stripe holds the documents and biometric data; VoxHer receives a verification result only.
  • Daily.co: real-time video calling infrastructure for VoxHer’s built-in video. Daily.co transmits the video and audio for single-use rooms minted server-side per session; VoxHer does not record sessions.
  • Supabase and Lovable Cloud: database, authentication, file storage (advisor avatars), and real-time messaging infrastructure.
  • Resend: transactional emails (account verification, receipts, notifications).
  • Twilio: US SMS phone verification codes.
  • Cloudflare: edge networking, including IP geolocation for US-only enforcement.
  • Google Analytics 4: anonymized usage analytics.
  • Meta (Facebook) Pixel and Conversions API (CAPI): measurement and attribution of marketing campaigns. VoxHer sends hashed (SHA-256) identifiers — email address, phone number, and an internal external_id — along with non-topical event metadata (event name, currency, value, timestamps, IP, user agent, and Meta click identifiers _fbc/_fbp). VoxHer never sends session content, advisor specialties, request text, or category data to Meta. Sharing data with Meta for cross-context behavioral advertising is treated as a “share” under California law; see Section 14 to opt out.

8.3 Law Enforcement

We may disclose information to law enforcement where imminent harm is at risk or legally required. Because all participants in paid sessions are identity-verified, we can provide meaningful identifying information when properly requested.

9. SMS/Text Message Consent

SMS/Text Message Consent. When you opt in to receive text messages from VoxHer, your mobile phone number and your SMS consent are used solely to deliver the notifications you requested (such as session-request alerts) and are collected through a verified opt-in on your account dashboard. VoxHer does not sell or share your mobile phone number or your SMS consent with any third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Message frequency varies (up to 20 messages per day). Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. Text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties for marketing purposes.

10. Data Security

  • HTTPS enforced platform-wide
  • Passwords hashed, never stored as plain text
  • Wallet and billing data transmitted over TLS
  • Payment data handled by Stripe (PCI DSS compliant)
  • Government ID documents held by Stripe, not by VoxHer
  • Supabase Row Level Security applied to user data tables
  • Right-click and drag-to-save disabled on advisor photos as a UX deterrent (not a security boundary)

11. Data Retention

We retain user data indefinitely unless you submit a deletion request.

Active accounts: data is retained for the life of the account.

Deletion requests: users may request deletion of their account and personal data by emailing support@voxher.com. We will process verified deletion requests within 30 days, subject to the following exceptions:

  • Financial records (wallet transactions, session billing, subscription invoices, payout records) are retained for at least 7 years to comply with US tax and financial recordkeeping requirements.
  • Safety records (reports, safety captures, enforcement actions, banned account records) are retained indefinitely to support platform safety and any related legal matters.
  • Account-level data of banned users is retained indefinitely to prevent re-registration.

Government ID documents are held by Stripe; to exercise rights over that data, see stripe.com/privacy.

12. Your Rights

Subject to the retention exceptions in Section 11, you may exercise the following rights by emailing support@voxher.com:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction: Request that we correct inaccurate data.
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your account and personal data.
  • Portability: Request a copy of your data in a machine-readable format.

We will respond within 30 days. California residents have additional rights under the CCPA, including the right to know what categories of data we collect, the right to delete (subject to the same exceptions), the right to opt out of sale (we do not sell data), and the right to non-discrimination for exercising these rights.

13. Children's Privacy

VoxHer is strictly for users 18 and over. Age is confirmed at signup and verified through government ID. Accounts found to belong to users under 18 will be permanently banned and all personal data deleted.

14. Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information (California)

VoxHer does not sell personal information for money. However, our use of the Meta Pixel and Conversions API to share hashed identifiers (email, phone, external_id) and event data with Meta for measurement and cross-context behavioral advertising is treated as a “share” under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA).

California residents (and all US users) may opt out of this sharing at any time:

  • Opt-out link: visit voxher.com/privacy?optout=meta to disable Meta Pixel and CAPI sharing for your browser and account. Your preference is stored on that browser and, if you are signed in, saved to your account, so it is respected on subsequent visits.
  • Email request: email support@voxher.com to record your opt-out against your account across all devices.

Browser-level privacy signals. VoxHer does not currently detect or automatically act on browser-level opt-out signals such as Global Privacy Control (GPC) or “Do Not Track.” To opt out, please use the opt-out link or email request above. We are working to support GPC and will update this policy when we do.

Opting out does not affect your account, pricing, or access to advisors. VoxHer will not discriminate against users who exercise CCPA/CPRA rights.

15. Changes to This Policy

Material changes will be notified by email and via a platform notice. Continued use of VoxHer after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
